French walnut, 8 day, time and strike, hanging cartel clock, c1890
CONDITION:
this elaborately turned and carved case is in very good original condition, and the centigrade thermometer in the throat is intact although its white enamel scale has one crack near the bottom. The porcelain dial has little chips around one winding hole and a few faint hairlines. The beveled glass has a small chip by the 9. The round movement, with count wheel and bell strike, is unsigned.
